William Kale Troutman was born and raised in Oklahoma City and now resides in Dallas, Texas. From an early age, he was drawn to the creative side of life. Growing up, his mother introduced him to the world of art, encouraging him to sketch landscapes, their beloved dogs, and the horses that shaped many of his earliest memories.

Those quiet moments drawing animals and nature would become the foundation of his artistic voice.

Today, Kale works primarily in charcoal, ink, and mixed media on paper and canvas. His work explores memory, emotion, and the quiet relationship between humans and the natural world. Through expressive linework and restrained abstraction, his pieces invite viewers to slow down and experience the feeling within the form.

For Kale, each piece begins with a simple belief: something powerful happens the moment the pencil touches the paper and the exploration begins.
